OP (outpatient) PCI:
***NEW*** OUTPATIENT PCI
-Key features:
-
Only includes cases done on regular Medicare patients at the hospital (not Medfinity)
-
Staged outpatient PCI will be costly (Once you do an outpatient PCI at the hospital any care for the next 90 days is billed to us)
-
If things get complicated or the patient needs more care (transfusions/staged PCI/CABG/etc.), change their status to inpatient and keep them 2 midnights so it falls out of the bundle (if possible).
-
Outpatient PCI followed by staged outpatient TAVR no longer counts against us (the TAVR bundle trumps the PCI bundle)
IP (in-patient) PPM:
INPATIENT PACEMAKER
Where the attending physician or implanting physician is a member of HeartPlace
